Bent on the Bow Lessons

Bent on the Bow can customize lessons to accommodate everything from private lessons for individuals or families to larger corporate group lessons. Lessons can range from half day dryland casting sessions to comprehensive multi-day courses on the river.

Our instructors have years of experience in educational environments and provide hands on instruction. They are patient, knowledgeable and able to adjust instruction to meet the needs of the individuals. The lessons are fun and interactive with hands on opportunities to put your new skills to the test.

Curricular objectives can include but is not limited to:

- fishing techniques
- casting
- knots
- water and river safety
- gear assembly and use
- how to read water for fishing and rowing
- river biology, entomology, fish identification, life cycles of the river
- stewardship of the river
- river and fishing etiquette
